July Astrological Forecast
 
Now that Summer has officially arrived, we are in the solar season, when the energy of the sun is at its strongest.  On July 22 the Sun enters Leo, where it is at its zenith.  This is the time to make new plans and put old plans into action.  The New Moon on 7/2 begins the month with a Wow factor, so time to rest will be at a minimum this month.  The planets are finally spread out again and with energy fairly balanced in fire, air, earth and water signs, flow returns for most of us.  The Full Moon of 7/18 is rather dynamic, so plan a party or plan to attend a large gathering to feel the benefit of all this energy.
 
Mercury begins the month in Gemini where its mental energy is strong.  On 7/4 Mercury returns to the place where it went haywire the end of May, and life begins to repair itself.  On 7/5 Mercury and Uranus cross their wires and it will be hard to think straight, let alone keep a secret.  On 7/6 and feeling of tranquility occurs as Neptune balances and relaxes the mind.  On 7/10 Mercury enters water sign Cancer, and the feeling function intensifies as the need for closeness and harmony with others increases, particularly with family members.  A possible conflict with those we perceive to have power over us precedes the entry of Mercury into Cancer, as a dance with Pluto offers a temptation to argue.  On 7/19 Mercury and Jupiter stretch together, expanding optimism and our prophetic powers.  There is also a tendency to talk too much at this time.  Uranus connects with Mercury on 7/22  offering solutions and original ideas.  This is a particularly wonderful day and it is not a time to be alone.  On 7/26 Mercury enters Leo, adding fire and desire to the mind which has finally calmed down and is ready to celebrate.
 
Venus begins the month in Cancer, which is a time of peace and prosperity for those with planets in Cancer and Capricorn.  On 7/3 Jupiter expands the money and relationship options and on 7/6 the balance of Uranus keeps boredom off the table.  This is a very creative and joyful period.  On 7/12 Venus enters lavish Leo and until 7/31, when Neptune causes some questioning of love and money loyalties, this is a period of prolonged enjoyment.
 
Mars spends July in Virgo, where we are all energized to deal with our health habits and our work challenges in a practical, problem solving manner  On 7/10 Mars overtakes Saturn, which is a combination of strife and obstacles, a good day to take it easy, relax, steady yourself, and avoid toxic people.  Do not get in a hurry on this day.  On 7/26 Mars and Jupiter find a balanced triangle, which allows the strong energy of these two planets to stimulate unbelievable feats of accomplishment.  For those with planets in Virgo, this is a possible turning point.
 
I will be out of the office on July 3-6 to celebrate my 65th birthday.  Can you believe it?  I'm just getting started.  I will also be gone from July 23-29 as I am taking my 3 grandarlings to Colorado .
